I heard they are trying to guard this CD like it's the Hope diamond and going after any DJ or person they sus[ect of leaking songs. It better not be garbage if they are making a big deal out of it. Also you heard anything about the new Nas? I just got a feeling that it's gonna be semi-garbage. We'll see I guess.

It's just painful to watch. Let the rap genre have its funeral. And lets move on.

Wow...what is wrong with you??? Do you even like music? :smoking:

Rap has progressed the way rock and roll has progressed, there is so much out there that it's impossible to say you don't like rap because you don't like a certain genre of hip-hop.

It would be like me saying I don't like rock and roll because I can't stand Poison or Huey Lewis and the News.
I would be ignoring the Clash, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays. Hip Hop is to big to die.

One of the best battle records of all time. Krs-One was so good.

I've never been a Queens fan, Nas was the exception. Still won't buy a Jay-z record. Going to see Devin the Dude tomorrow Night. Actually Josh Martinez is a local guy who rips it up, is opening for him, I may not stick around after that

Oh damn I didnt even see this thread. You're right the leaks that are usually out there isn't there for the Jay-Z. There are a lot of people upset over the whole Nas CD especially the title "Hip Hop is dead" especially some of the South "rappers" who took major offense to it because they thought Nas was going after the snapping and club music.
We shall see Nas and Jigga should be coming with the fire.

Manhattan keeps on makin it, brooklyn keeps on takin it
Bronx keeps creatin it, and queens keeps on fakin it!

Rob you need to stop sleeping. Rap is going to be out there for a lonnnnggg time. Stop letting Clear Channel and Radio One mold your opinion on what "rap" is these days. As Kingbill said, there is a lot of stuff out there that worth listening.

Devin the Dude shit is alright. I didn't know his shit would be popular enough up your way for him to do shows. That's good to hear and even though hip-hop isn't what it used to be, it's most def not dead! By the way King, why won't you buy a Jay-Z album?

I'm a stuborn MF...I decided years ago I didn't like Jay-Z, so I've never given it much of a chance, too many things I didn't about him...A lot of his lyrics sound like other guys who came before him. F*Ck Jay-Z I download that shit and sell it on the corner before I buy it...but like I said I'm stubborn
